Police see no terrorism link in Cincinnati nightclub shooting that killed 1 and injured 15 others

A gunfight broke out inside a crowded Cincinnati nightclub early Sunday, leaving one man dead and 15 others wounded after a dispute among several patrons escalated, authorities said.

No suspects were in custody by late afternoon in the shooting at the Cameo club, which has a history of gun violence, and police said there was no indication of any terrorism link.

Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac said one of the wounded was in "extremely critical condition," while a hospital spokeswoman said two victims were listed in critical condition.

Police began receiving calls at 1:30 a.m. about gunshots at the club near the Ohio River east of downtown Cincinnati. Isaac said about 200 people were inside the club, one of the few hip-hop venues in the city.

Isaac identified the dead man as 27-year-old O'Bryan Spikes, but provided no other details. He said 15 others were injured, with some already treated and released from hospitals.

"What we know at this point in the investigation is that several local men got into some type of dispute inside the bar, and it escalated into shots being fired from several individuals," Isaac said. It wasn't clear how many people fired shots.

Club patron Mauricio Thompson described a chaotic scene in which as many as 20 shots were fired as people scrambled to get away. He said there was a fight and people were yelling for security to intervene before the gunfire began.

“Once I got outside, people coming out bloody, gunshot wounds on them, some of their friends carrying them to the car, rushing them to the hospital,” Thompson told WCPO-TV. “It was just crazy.”

Police Sgt. Daniel Hils said the large crowd at the club was a factor in the number of people who suffered gunshot wounds.

“When you're talking about something tightly packed like that, I think intended targets aren't going to be the only thing that's hit,” said Hils, who is president of the local Fraternal Order of Police. “When you start throwing lead around, and there's a lot of other people standing around, then the other people are going to get hit.”

Isaac said the club had its own security operation that used detection wands and pat-downs, but that police believed several firearms got inside. Four officers were working security in the club's parking lot and some tried unsuccessfully to revive the man who died.

Cameo's Facebook profile says it caters to college students on Friday nights, when anyone over 18 is allowed in, while Saturdays are "grown and sexy night" for ages 21 and older.

The club has a history of gun violence, including a shooting on New Year's Day in 2015 and one in the parking lot in September of that year, City Manager Harry Black said.

Police Capt. Kim Williams said there was "just a lot of chaos, obviously, when shots were fired."

"Saturday night, it is a very young crowd. We have had incidents here in the past, but this is by far the worst," she said.

Referring to initial speculation about possible terrorism, Mayor John Cranley said: "What difference does that make to the victims? Innocent people were shot."

He called the shootings "unacceptable" and said authorities would work to find ways to prevent such violence.

A single body was removed by the coroner shortly after 6 a.m. A federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives team was also at the scene.

Among the injured, five were treated at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and released, hospital spokeswoman Kelly Martin said. She said two people were in critical condition and another three were listed in stable condition by late afternoon. She had no details on the types of injuries or the ages of the victims. Other injured people were taken to or drove themselves to other hospitals.

Authorities asked anyone with information to come forward. Investigators were checking to see if surveillance cameras were working, Williams said.

An Associated Press phone call to the club Sunday went unanswered.

The area is mostly industrial but also home to several nightclubs with a smattering of homes. A regional airport is nearby. The neighborhood is fairly desolate at night, with the exception of the nightlife scene and 24-hour gas stations. The road where the club is located was easily cordoned off by a single police cruiser and officer at either end.

First responders had problems reaching the shooting victims because the parking lots were full, Sgt. Eric Franz told the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich said on Twitter that he was “saddened to learn about last night's shooting” and that he was offering the state's assistance.

Yogi Adityanath asks BJP functionaries to shun contracts

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi on Sunday asked all BJP office bearers and public representatives not to undertake any contractual work and instead monitor them for effective execution.

He said BJP’s unprecedented win in the recent Assembly elections had only increased the responsibilities of the party and its workers.

5 Facts About UP CM Yogi Adityanath

“No office bearer of the party or any public representative should undertake any contractual work (thekedaari). They should rather monitor them. And, if they find any discrepancy, they can inform me, so that action could be taken immediately against the guilty,” he said.

Addressing people at the BJP’s regional office on the second day of his Gorakhpur visit, he said, “After victory, a number of important works have to be accomplished. The people of the state have reposed their faith in us, and the onus is on us to meet their expectations, while ensuring accountability of our actions.”

Aditya Nath also laid stress on sense of responsibility and accountibility among his ministerial colleagues.

“I am the CM. (Surya Pratap) Shahi ji is Cabinet minister. But the post of CM or Cabinet Minister is not meant for flaunting. In fact, it is an indicator of one’s responsibility and accountability towards the public, which elected you with an overwhelming majority,” he said, pointing towards some ministers present there.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, who is still the local MP, urged the party to gear up for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

“In the next two years, you have to work tirelessly, irrespective of the fact that there is sunshine, rain or biting cold. Efforts should be made to ensure that the welfare schemes of the Centre percolate to the last strata of the society, and needy people are able to avail its benefits,” he said, amidst a thunderous applause from the audience. Underscoring the need for improved work culture, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also said people who were prepared to work for 18-20 hours a day are “most welcome” to join him, the rest are free to leave.

“Time has come that we should work 18-20 hours a day. There no time for any entertainment (mauj masti),” he said.

He also urged the people to help him break the negative image of UP.

“For the past few years Uttar Pradesh has been defined as a state from whose boundaries begins darkness, from where the pot-holed roads begin and the place from where the women start to feel insecure. I was to break this mindset,” he said, and added that he wants to make UP a place, where women feel safe and secure.

Aditya Nath said, “I would like to assure that in the next two months, people would come to know how a state government should work. I have got an opportunity to clean the mess (kachdaa saaf karne kaa maukaa milaa hai), and I will do it.”

He also advised his ministers that they should be accessible to the public. “The doors of your house and office must remain open to the public. This would ensure that the government is able to reach to the last person of the society. No one would go to bed empty stomach and money would not be a constraint in marriage of any girl,” he said.

Referring to the acid attack on a woman from Rae Bareli, Aditya Nath, said, “The officials are working on ‘puraanaa dharraa’ (old style). I went to KGMU to inquire about the well being of the woman and gave them ultimatum that everything must be done in the next couple of hours.”

He also referred to the Agra loot, which was worked out.

“There is no place for those who give patronage to the gooda elements, mafia, criminal and other rogue elements. They have the option of leaving UP or else they would land in places designated for them (jails),” he said, while hinting at massive revamping of law and order.

He also talked about people committing electricity theft facing the music. “The situation has already improved in Gorakhpur and it would soon improve in the state as well,” he said.

“If you find any discrepancy or anomaly, just message me the relevant details. I will ensure action,” he said.

Digital payments movement gaining pace with even poor participating: PM Narendra Modi

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modiexhorted his fellow citizens to embrace digital transactions so that the full-year target of 2,500 crore payments could be reached in half that time.

With demonetisation getting strong popular support as reflected in the recent assembly poll results in Uttar Pradesh, the prime minister dwelt on the topic of going cashless in his Mann ki Baataddress on Sunday.

“My dear countrymen, we must take our fight against black money and corruption to the next level. Can 125 crore countrymen resolve to undertake 2,500 crore digital transactions during this year? We made an announcement in Budget,” Modi said. “Our 125 crore countrymen, if they wish to do so, they need not wait for a year, they can do it in 6 months. We should contribute towards reducing the use of cash, of currency notes.

Cashless Transactions Growing
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had announced a mission to promote cashless payments with a target of 2,500 crore transactions in the year ending March 2018 during his February 1 Budget.

“There has also been an increase in curiosity about cashless transactions. The poorest of the poor are making an attempt to learn and people are gradually moving towards doing businesses without cash,” he said. “There has been a surge in various modes of digital payments after demonetisation. The BHIM (payments) app was launched just about two months ago, but approximately 1.5 crore people have downloaded it.”

He appealed to people to shift transactions, such as paying school fees, for travel or medicines, to the digital mode. “You can’t imagine how you can serve the country in this way and become a brave soldier in the fight against black money and corruption,” Modi said. He also mentioned that nearly 12.5 lakh people had won prizes for transacting digitally.

The PM, while welcoming the increasing participation of women in the workforce, said maternity leave for working women had been raised to 26 weeks from 12 weeks.

“There are now only two or three countries in the world which are ahead of us in this matter,” the PM said. Modi said women shoulder certain special responsibilities. “The basic aim is to ensure proper care of the newborn, the future citizen of India, from the time of birth. The newborn should get the complete love and attention of the mother. That is how these children will become true assets of the country when they grow up. Mothers too will remain healthy. And that is why, this is such a landmark decision, and will benefit 18 lakh women working in the formal sector,” Modi said.

With the UN focusing on depression as a theme this year on the occasion of World Health Day, the PM also touched upon the topic, saying the condition was curable. “There is a need to create a psychologically conducive environment to begin with. The first mantra is the expression of depression instead of its suppression,” the PM said. Modi said that one’s friends, family and surroundings can prevent one from going into depression or pull one out of it. “There is another way. If you are unable to express yourself to your family and friends, then do one thing, go out in society with a sense of service. Devote yourself with all your heart into helping others and sharing their joys and sorrows. You will find that along with it your own inner sufferings will go on disappearing,” the PM said. He also advised Indians to turn to yoga for mental wellbeing.

He reiterated his vision for a New India, which he had first spoken about a day after BJP’s win in Uttar Pradesh. On Sunday, he said New India was neither a government programme, nor the manifesto of a political party, nor was it a project. New India is the clarion call of 125 crore countrymen, he said. “It is the essence of the emotions of 125 crore Indians wanting to come together and create a magnificent India, 125 crore Indians who nurture a hope, a zeal, a resolve, a desire,” he said. “This desire of 125 crore countrymen for change, the effort to change, is what will lay a strong foundation of a New India,” he said.

TOP GOOD THINGS GOOD READERS DO

Hello people,
Today, we are gonna discuss about THE TOP GOOD THINGS GOOD READERS DO WHILE READING.
Most of us at some point of time turn into READERS. Some of us start to READ NOVELS, STORIES AND POEMS etc.
Some like to READ GHOST STORIES as I do, some of us READ ROMANTIC AND NOVELS WITH SUSPENSE .
So, let's get started with THE TOP GOOD THINGS ,GOOD READERS DO WHILE READING.
* GOOD READERS DON'T JUST READ, THEY PREVIEW THE TEXT THEY READ.
Most of us just read and let it go, we need to keep our mind to what we are reading to become a good READER.
*THEY SET A PURPOSE BEFORE STARTING TO READ.
GOOD READERS don't just read for the sake of reading.
Good readers are usually curious to know what happens next.
*THEY ACTIVATE THEIR BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE BY READING A LOT.
Even if we don't realize it, but by reading a lot, we gain a lot (behind the scene) ; which we realize later. Our subconscious mind absorbs all we read .
*READERS THINK A LOT ABOUT CAUSE AND EFFECT.
They come across so much happenings in their mind by reading that comes natural to them to analyze the cause and effect thing.
*THEY KEEP PREDICTING WHILE READING
like most of us do when reading an interesting SUSPENSE novel.
*WHEN THE ENCOUNTER ANY ALIEN WORD , THEY TRY RO FIGURE IT OUT, SEARCH FOR IT'S MEANING AND THIS HABIT ADDS MORE EXPANSION TO THEIR ALREADY EXPANDED BASE OF VOCABULARY KNOWLEDGE.

http://clnk.in/eM0A

*WHILE READING, READERS keep checking if it's making sense to them or not. Sometimes they try to make some sense out of what they are reading .
Our brain is a kind of muscle. Just like our biceps and triceps grow when  used more, our brain also grows, becomes stronger and more efficient at the same time.
*READERS visualize a lot, make pictures in their mind, so that it can make sense to them.
*READERS keep asking questions and answering to themselves.
*Reading bring READERS good fluency.
*READERS connect what they read to their personal experiences.
*READERS better understand the purpose of the Author .
Good readers can be on their own.
Good readers don't just read; they connect to and think ,feel, and experience what they read in the world of their own.
So, now you all can be clear , if you are a GOOD READER or not. Try to be A GOOD READER by trying to follow what they do.
So, this is it for this post.
I will be back with another Post ASAP.
Till then, check out my other posts and let me know what do you think in the comment box.

How EGG did MIRACLE to my HAIR (egg protein treatment for hair growth)

Hello people,
we are gonna talk about egg protein treatment today. How miraculous is egg for hair, how we can get beautiful hair by using egg mask and I will let you know how was my experience with it.
So, let's get started.
Its been 4years, I have been using eggs for my hair. Eggs are perfect food for hair.
I lost about 10kg in just 2 weeks during my intermediate, ablut 4 years ago, while trying to loose body fat and weight.

But you know what - " EXCESS OF ANYTHING, IS GOOD FOR NOTHING ."
I experienced this in my life. I was really very happy that I lost so much weight in such a short period of time. But when my
Cousin Brother asked me,"
tere baal kahan gaye ? (Wher is your hair ?)
in 2013 I guess, during my mausi's(my mom's sister) marriage,  what a such drastic and sudsen weight loss has done to my appearance, especially MY HAIR.
My hair became so thin that anyone could see my scalp. I was really worried about it and this worrying added to my hair thinning. 
But, you know what, I believe (because i have experienced it before many times) that "THERE IS NO LOCK WITHOUT A KEY" .
What i mean is SOLUTIONS COME BEFORE PROBLEMS. The only thing we need to do is to divert ourselves from the problems and start looking for possible solutions we really have.樂樂樂
As most of us know that eggs are the nature's superfood; if you didn't, you know it now .☺☺☺
How egg helped me in getting back my hair
I knew before that eggs are realky beneficial for oir hair and skin, but I really didn't know how miraculous eggs are.

So, i started using egg for my hair. I used to put egg yolk and white on my hair earlier. Then i preferred using yolk only for the 80% time as I was in need of healthy fats for my hair.
Procedure
* i used to take one egg as it is enough for my short length hair . You can add more eggs according to the length of your hair.
* Break it and put it in a bowl.
* Mix it properly for about 5min until it gets foam on it.
* Then put the mix on your hair and scalp.
*Rub gently your scalp and spread it over the full length of your hair, from top to bottom, from roots to the ends of your hair.
* Once you are done, keep it on for atleast 45min.
* You can alao keep it on for the whole night as i do, though its a little uncomfortable initially, . I will make sure thag your hair is getting every tiny bit of nutrition from the egg.
*Cover your head if you want to.
*After a minimum of 45min wash it gently.
*You can shampoo immediately, but I would like to suggest you not to shampoo that very day (if you can bear the smell)
*Not using any conditioner after that will be better for your hair.
*You can maximize the benefits by massaging your head with an oil of yoir preference before using egg.
*Do it 2 times a week and you will see results in a span of 30days.
*You will witness the transformation in the texture, volume amd thickness of your hair.
*Your hair will become thicker, voluminous, shiny and bouncy.
The egg mask acts as a PROTEIN TREATMENT to your hair.
In aboit a month I got back my healthy hair back. The protein in egg white helps you in getting rid of dandruff and it also promotes hair growth.
Where egg white is almost pure protein, egg yolk contains protein as well as healthy fats, biotins etc.
Protein in egg helps in promoting hair growth, repair hair damage and grow new hair as protein is considered as the building blocks.
Egg yolks provide nourishment to your hair. Ir adsa shine, volume and thickness to your hair.
Healthy fats in yolk makes your hair shiny as well as bouncy.
You will get results after the very first use. You will feel the difference before amd after using this egg protein treatment.
Though growing new hair takes time but getting healthy, shiny, bouncy, thick and voluminous hair is jist 60min away (if you use this egg protein treatment).
If you have dandruff or oily hair, use only egg white only until you get rid of it and if you have dry or eough hair, use egv yolk only.  I would like to suggest you to use whole egg for normal hair.
Head full of dense, thick, shiny, bouncy, nourished and silky hair brought me lots of complements. 
It really did miracle to my hair...
These are the benefits I experienced by using egg and so will you.
Eggs are truly miraculous. 
"Whats in the egg that works such miracles" - we will discuss in another post.
                 Thank you 
